Recently Shellcast hosted a plant tour for several active US Military personnel. These US Army soldiers are cousins to Production Manager and US Army veteran Kevin Stanfield. Since joining Shellcast in April of this year Kevin has been experiencing what it takes to make some of the subcomponents found in defense systems that he and his cousins have used. While on the tour one visitor announced that he was a Specialist with the Army’s Criminal Investigation Division (CID) and that he heads up the personal security detail for the Secretary of Defense, USMC General James Mattis. He stated that the process and the components manufactured by Shellcast were impressive and that the company “plays a critical role in supplying the DOD with cost effective products that ensure our safety at home and around the world”. He presented company President Bob Johnson with a Department of Defense military “challenge coin” as a token of appreciation for a “job well done”. Shellcast is honored by the recognition and Bob and the employees will always cherish the coin.
