3M Technical Ceramics manufactures fused silica flours and grains at its 3M Midway location in Tennessee where they have a research group that focuses on investment casting. They developed WDS, the first Engineered Shell System; HP polymer and WDS 3 and Gray Matter 2. 3M Technical Ceramics is a distributor of Nalco colloidal silica, Continental Minerals zircon and Christy Minerals alumino silicates. 3M Technical Ceramics supplies fused silica direct and also distributes through Nalco and Westech.
