Nalco holds the original patent for manufacturing colloidal silica and today is the manufacturer and distributor of Engineered Shell Systems, including ESB Evolution, Gray Matter and WDS systems. Nalco's other product offerings include Engineered antifoams, biocide and wax pattern cleaners. Nalco's Engineered Shell Systems are designed to help foundries reduce Total Cost of Operations by providing increased throughput, reduced scrap, reduced finished inventory and work in progress, reduced manpower requirements, and the avoidance of costly plant expansions.
